The Government ha s taken some important initiatives to keep the electricity supply smooth. One of the important initiatives is to increase the electricity supply from 200 MW to 400 MW. For this reason, during the pick hours the gas supply will be increased for electricity supply instead of gas based industries. Another one is in oil based electricity center the highest supply should be 650 MW. And the last one is the shopping centers of all over the country will be shut down at 8.00 pm.

These decisions have been taken in the meeting at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD). The State Minister of this ministry briefed to the journalists that the articles of Labor laws relevant with shutting down the Shopping centers will be followed strictly. Besides these, he invites the mass people of the country to be economic of using gas and electricity.

It is also discussed in the meeting that gas supply will be reduced in some Industries (textile, re-rolling) to increase it in the electricity supply. So, the owners of these industries will be met with Petrobangla very soon.
